PhD by Research Admission in Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center during 2014-2015
The SBMU Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center admits students in two stages for 2014-2015.
The first stage:
A one-year program during which students learn basic theoretical and practical skills for research.
The second stage:
A three-year program during which students, having acquired necessary skills in the first stage, work on their thesis and defend its results. Passing the courses in the first stage and obtaining the approval of the proposal from the university council are the two prerequisites to enter the second part of the program.
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Holding the degree for general practice (MD), Master’s degree or higher approved by the Ministry of Health or Ministry of Science, Research and Technology
- Holders of equivalent master’s degrees are not eligible to enter the program.
- The organizing institute is responsible for accreditation and evaluation of educational and research records and diploma of volunteers.
- Volunteers studying residency are not allowed to do PhD programs simultaneously.
- Having passed a proficiency test of English
- Having been accepted at the entrance interview
Specific Eligibility Criteria:
Having published at least two original articles type I (Pub Med, ISI) as the first author or correspondent published in accredited journals internationally indexed, which should be confirmed by the selected committee at registration, is the necessary prerequisite for entry and admission to the course.
The tuition is to be paid at the beginning of the program by the student himself or the introducing institute.
Required documents for registration:
- A copy of passport
- A copy of the last degree of education and transcript of master’s or PhD degree to show termination of education
- A copy of English certificate which is not expired yet; MELAB, MCHE, TOLIMO, TOEFL, IELTS
- CV and complete text of the published articles in indexed journals accompanied by article index documentation
- A completed form of registration with a photo
